Deutsche Plasser Bahnbaumaschinen GmbH and PURItech GmbH & Co.KG decide to make a comprehensive cooperation in the field of emission of existing railway construction, the technological leading products by PURItech should be used by Deutsche Plasser machine park. Deutsche Plasser will complete a partner certification with PURItech and the retrofitting of emission control systems in railway construction machinery will be done by Plasser & Theurer independently as well as the ongoing service.
Deutsche Plasser is responding to the decision of the DB Projektbau GmbH, which required in all tenders for construction projects in urban areas in the future that all diesel-powered construction vehicles will be equipped with diesel particulate filter. This is to be acquired in the near future of Deutsche Bahn AG and according to the federal environment government gain also valid for the non-urban area.
The decision to exclusive collaboration with PURItech allows Deutsche Plasser to offer their customers a high quality and most importantly, sustainable solution for retrofitting diesel particulate filters. With the features of PURItech products not only recently been classified by the WHO as clearly carcinogenic diesel particles are effectively eliminated, but also toxic hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO) and even nitrogen dioxide (NO2) massively reduced. Important feature of the PURItech filter technology provides the substantial reduction of the toxic nitrogen dioxide (NO2) concentration in diesel exhaust. The reduction of NO2 emission is independent of the gas temperature over the entire engine map. Conventional filter systems increase NO2 emissions by a multiple. From January 2015 NO2 emission limits must be strictly adhered to in inner cities according to an EU directive. An EU-wide arrangement for the authorization of filter systems (REC directive) with a limitation of emissions of NO2 is just before the final. This fact was decisive for the cooperation between the Deutsche Plasser and PURItech.
