Hagen, 26.03.2014. EUROPART, the leading dealer of commercial vehicle parts and workshop equipment is sponsoring two independent teams at the FIA European Truck Racing Championship again this year: the French Team 14 and the German team, Reinert Racing. EUROPART and Team14 agreed on a new form of cooperation the first time this season.The French racing team will fit its Renault entirely with EUROPART-brand parts and present itself as EUROPART Racing/Team 14. However, this represents more than just a change in appearance. Team 14 has also successfully recruited the Portuguese driver, Jose Rodriguez, as a team driver.
The CEO, Pierre Fleck, explained at the contract signing between Team 14 and EUROPART in Hagen on 21.03.2014: „The European Truck Racing Championship, which consists of European races 8 countries, is exactly the right event to reach our customers throughout Europe because of its international format. EUROPART is present in 23 countries with 160 sales branches. Both teams thus represent the markets and the customers in countries in which EUROPART is active. The EUROPART-brand parts fitted on Team 14’s Renault are marketed throughout Europe by parts specialists and consist of 6,000 products including brake discs, brake pads, turbochargers and steering parts. „Truck racing offers us the perfect opportunity to prove the quality and reliability of the parts and materials belonging to our EUROPART part brand under the hard truck racing conditions“, emphasises Sebastian Kamphaus, the EUROPART Brand Manager.
Both independent teams supported by EUROPART achieved very good results in last year’s season, especially in view of the fact that they number among the smaller teams. Team 14 took 11thplace and the racing driver, Rene Reinert, 9thplace in the overall rankings. The CEO, Pierre Fleck, appreciates the teams‘ complete commitment: „Both team’sconsistent and clear commitment to their racing trucks and their passion for technology are the perfect match for EUROPART’s brand image and the employees.“ As with last year, EUROPART’s customers have the opportunity to experience all of the European races live on location. The main event is the Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring, where EUROPART expects more than 500 customers.
