Hubtex introduces new generation of Glass Frame Transporter - GTR series scores with higher safety standards and cost efficiency

Safe, ergonomic and cost efficient: HUBTEX is launching a new range of Glass Frame Transporters for intralogistic warehouse processes. The new GTR models have a modular design to fit the individual needs of its users and handle A- and L-stillages from 15 to 42 tons. Compared to the previous generation by the German supplier of specialized glass handling equipment, the new transporters excel by an even more efficient energy balance and an ergonomically designed cabin entrance for the driver. Customers benefit from higher flexibility due to longer operating hours and reduced operational costs.

The new range of GTR was designed to make handling flat glass a lot easier and also more cost efficient. The manufacturer of customized multidirectional sideloaders and specialized machinery for moving long, heavy and bulky loads thus constructed the transporters for three-shift operations and increased the truck availability. „We improved the truck weight while the HUBTEX robustness was kept. Benefit is an extended service life of the wheels and reduced floor pressures“, explains Juan Cantalejo, HUBTEX Export Sales Manager. „Together with our customers we are able to develop handling solutions that meet all expectations.“ One highlight of the new model range is its optimized visibility concept towards load as well as in driving direction. As the position of the operator panel is adjustable, the driver has an enhanced view during the pick-up of glass frame from the ground and from the lift truck during driving. Furthermore, the entrance to the cabin is very easy: ergonomically designed hand rails and durable anti-slipping steps provide additional safety for the driver. For the glass clamps HUBTEX has developed an innovative safety concept. Ultrasonic sensors control the speed and stop the clamps prior to approaching the glass pack. During transport four hydraulic clamps hold the glass sheets in place. As the GTR are available electrically, diesel- or LPG powered for indoor use or combined indoor and outdoor use, customers can pick the model most fitting for their work purposes. The new range of transporters helps users to increase their safety standard and optimize their costs. „We have enhanced the control technology and revised the software of the GTR“, adds Cantalejo. As a result the power consumption of the new model range could be lowered.

HUBTEX GmbH & Co. KG has been a leading supplier of specialized materials handling equipment for many years. The production of application engineered multidirectional sideloaders and specialized machinery for moving long, heavy and bulky loads forms the core of the company“s business. The machines are designed to facilitate the flow of goods, in very narrow aisles, in manufacturing companies and commercial enterprises. The trucks are manufactured to the exact specification required by particular applications and handling needs, but are also designed to be flexible and multifunctional. HUBTEX industrial trucks operate in an environmentally friendly manner due to electric drives that are mainly used in the trucks.
